Ride & Event Calendar - We Ride Every Other Week.
Calendar is in reverse order - scroll down to see January rides

All rides begin at 10:30 unless otherwise noted and go most of the day. If we're not there exactly at 10 a.m....wait a while, as our "Tourmaster" is running late, which is more often than not.

Average ride length, including ride to brunch destination: 100-150 miles. Longer rides can be up to 300 miles. Feel free to ride as long as you wish, but do let the tourmaster know if you'll be leaving early, so the ride doesn't have to stop while someone goes and looks for a breakdown machine or other problem.

Wednesday - Sunday, September 26 - 30, 2012 - Street Vibrations Motorcycle Festival is the hottest time on two wheels! A celebration of music, metal and motorcycles, Street Vibrations offers tours, entertainment, parades, ride-in shows, Chrome Alley retail vendors, the Harley-Davidson Factory Store, concerts and more. The event is so big, it's rocking at several locations throughout Reno and Sparks, NV simultaneously, at the base of the Sierra Nevada. Rides to historic Virginia City and to one of the most beautiful meetings of mountains and water on earth - fabulous Lake Tahoe - provide special entertainment all their own.

We will go down the back way thru Nicassio to get there, after brunch we will ride out west on Sir Francis Drake and go the back way up Hwy 1 stopping in Bolinas or Point Reys Station, and finally on up the coast highway toward home. It's Ed's birthday the following day and he wants to celebrate with his motorcycle riding brethren (no, you don't have to buy him brunch). You could buy Ed a Guinness later on in the day to help him celebrate, however. Route planning: Leave Santa Rosa, take regular route through Bennett Valley and Glen Ellen, down Arnold Drive and turning left on Hwy 12 just west of Schellville. Right turn on Ramal Rd., follow Duhig Rd to where it connects back to Hwy 12 at Domaine Carneros (nice little side-trip that bypasses the construction on 12). Follow Hwy 12 to the stoplight where it connects with 29 south, then south to the Hwy 29 café. After brunch, head north on 29, follow Silverado Trail to Trancas/Hwy 121. Turn right, follow 121 north to 128 Turn right, go east to Winters. For the return route, we follow 128 all the way back to Silverado Trail, up to St. Helena, and then over the hill on St. Helena Rd and return to Santa Rosa via Calistoga Rd.
